The start of questioning your life is the start of changing your life, ask “why” to all that you do and you begin to challenge yourself. Why do you have the habits you do? Why do you act in certain ways around certain individuals? Why do you say what you say? Just asking why you do what you do can start a singular rippling event through your being.
To be ripped apart at your core, to have the constant urge to rediscover yourself, to lose all parts of who you think you were. To feel the messiness of the human nature, the undying feeling of loss, both inside but also in the world around you. It is in these moments where life feels the fullest, the colors are at their fullest, but they only show up in hues of grey, color fades to a singular point. That point is light, amidst the darkness there is the path, where one needs to find their own way, to the end that they are wanting. There is comfort in this feeling of being lost, it’s a familiar friend, a friend I haven’t seen in some time. There is a warm embrace between the two of us, a connection that transcends the time and space between the emptiness of the void. Though it is a friendship that I would like to end, a friendship where I can understand it is not beneficial to continue. A cycle is ending, it is time for change to occur within me. For the truth to be told and embraced. And that is where the question lies, what is the truth I’ve been searching for?
